It’s an offense to share Akuapem Poloo’s naked photos – Gender Minister

The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Morrison has condemned actress Rosemond Brown, known in showbiz as Akuapem Poloo, for a nude picture she shared on social media.

A statement dated July 1 2020 noted that “posting nude pictures on social media at all times is a serious offense and all must desist from the act” adding that sharing it I also an offence.

According to the statement in our possesion, the ministry is “liasing with the appropriate agencies to deal with the issue.”

The genesis of Akuapem Poloo recent brouhaha started after she posted a naked photoshoot of herself and 7-year-old on her verified Instagram page on June 30, 2020.

But the image received wide condemnation from the public with many ascribing child abuse to it.

Non-governmental organization Child Rights International, in condemning the act, reported the matter to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.

Akuapem Poloo has since rendered an apology for the act and removed the picture from her page.
