Akua Donkor writes to the Supreme Court to ignore the NDC’s petition

Ghanaian politician and farmer who is also the flagbearer of Ghana Freedom Party, Madama Akua Donkor, has written to the Supreme Court of Ghana to dismiss the NDC’s petition because Nana Akufo-Addo clearly won the just-ended polls.

According to her, the petition by the NDC to contest the results of the Presidential election is simply an attempt by the party to discredit the work of the Electoral Commission and that of the electoral body’s Chairperson, Jean Mensa.

She stated that her motive for demanding that the rejection of the NDC’s election petition is because the EC’s verdict was clear and true and resonated with her own verdict prior to the EC’s declaration.

A part of her petition letter reads;

The main motive being that, the declaration of Presidency during the general election on the 9th day of December 2020 by Mrs Jean Mensa was clear and true just because I, Hon. Akua Donkor the flagbearer of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) even declared the winner being his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo on Tuesday the 8th of December, 2020 before Mrs. Jean Mensa came to announce to the general public.
