Just In: Fomena MP gives NDC broken heart as he re-joins NPP

Lawyer Andrew Asiamah Amoako who is the Member of Parliament for Fomena and formerly the only independent parliamentarian has officially announced that he will seat with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 8h parliament under the 4th Republic.

According to him, he eats, baths and breaths NPP so there’s no way he will forsake the party now that they need him the most.

During an exclusive interview with the Parliamentary press corps, he is reported to have said;

I’ve won for the party, I stood for a principle and that principle has been exhibited and that’s all I stood for. I’ve won for the party and I’m going to the party and I hope the party will welcome me and my followers

Almost everybody in the party has congratulated me but whether I’ve been congratulated or not, I belong to the family and I’ll go back to the family and I’ll sit with the family in the eighth Parliament. I made that declaration earlier before the elections. I’ve no place to go

He further rubbished speculations which alleged that made some heavy demand from the party before agreeing to re-join the “Elephant babies” after he was sacked from the party prior to the elections.

I haven’t made any demands. I’m with my family and any issue of any demand is outside the domain,

This change of event has automatically given the NPP an upper hand in parliament as they now have 138 seats against the NDC’s 136.
