The leader and founder of Ghana Freedom Party -Madam Akua Donkor has urged Nana Addo to speak Twi when he is addressing galamsey operators.
This advice succeeds the two-day National Consultative Dialogue on galamsey that was held in Accra last week at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This high profiled meeting was attended by the president and other high-profile stakeholders in the lands sector to solicit views, proposals and suggestions on how to effectively tackle the incidence of galamsey which has been one of the biggest challenges of the Akufo-Addo government.
As counselled by her – A lot of the people who engage in galamsey operations do not understand English hence the government should adopt Twi as the language that will be sued to address these small scale miners.
She said;
What I want to say is that all that he [President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo] has said, he has to say them again.
He has to reorganise the program [National Dialogue] again because those who mine the gold, none of them understand English
