Senegalese – American singer and songwriter, Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam, mononymously known as Akon has denied reports suggesting that he has featured Shatta Wale on an upcoming album.
Earlier there were reports suggesting that the American star had featured Shatta Wale on his upcoming reggae project dubbed, “Akon and Friends”.
As per and artwork sighted by Gossips24.com, the album was supposed to feature the likes of Sizzla, Sean Paul, DaBaby, Capleton, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, and our very own Shatta Wale.

Lots of SM fans were rejoicing upon seeing the flyer on various news portals. However, the Locked Up hit singer has come out to debunk the reports.
According to Akon in a tweet sighted by Gossips24.com, he is not putting out any reggae album dubbed “Akon and Friends”. He added that he does not know anything about the aforementioned project talkless of even featuring Ghana’s self-acclaimed dancehall king.
“For the record, I am not putting out a reggae compilation called “AKON and Friends“ I don’t know anything about this project, if you see it being promoted it’s not happening. @thisis50@TheSource@WORLDSTAR@BET“, he tweeted.
