Informaion Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has disclosed that, Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu has been discharged from the hospital where he was being treated for Covid-19.
According to Oppong Nkrumah at a press briefing, the Health Minister will now continue his recovery at home.
He said he had spoken to Mr Agyeman Manu who confirmed his discharge from the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra.
There were earlier contradicting reports that the Minister had not contracted the virus and was only ‘resting’ at the UGMC.
But, President Akufo-Addo in his 11th address to the nation on Sunday, 14th June, 2020, confirmed that, indeed the health minister had contracted the deadly virus.
