AFRIMA 2019 NOMINEES LIST is out and two of Ghana’s best male musicians have made it to this year’s edition.
The African Union, AU and the International Committee of the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA rolled out the list of nominees on their official site.
The regional nominees for the 6th edition were unveiled at a World Media Conference on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Abora Hall, of Eko Hotels And Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria
The 10 Regional Categories sees names such as Shatta Wale, MzVee, King Promise and many others make the list.
Shatta Wale and King Promise were nominated for best male musicians in Western Africa. Mzvee on the other has been nominated for the best female musician in Western Africa.
Other artist nominated alongside Shatta Wale and King Promise in the best male category are Davido, Wizkid, Fally Ipupa, DJ Arafat, Burma Boy, Kizz Daniel, Salia Keira, and Sidiki Diabite.
Although Ghana was initially selected to host the 6th edition, Ghana was later stripped of the AFRIMA hosting right for this year. The new host will be announced in the coming days.
The nominees list for the Continental Category is scheduled for release on August 23 .
