Some migrants, including Africans, numbering 20 who took part in protests against xenophobic attacks in South Africa are about to be deported to their various countries.
According to the Department of home affairs of South Africa, the deportation process have began and has been approved by a court.
The 20 migrants had said they were not treated well and were facing discrimination during the xenophobic season which began in October 2019.
They therefore engaged in protests lasting months which included sitting outside the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. They however did not want to be sent back to their countries of origin but a third country.
