A student of Aduman Senior High School (SHS) Mudasif Nurudeen who was badly injured in an attack launched on them by unknown thugs has been moved from one hospital to another as his condition get critical.
The student in critical condition, 18-year-old , was slashed in the forehead by the area thugs in rowdy manner to take away the belongings of the students.
Other students also sustained multiple machete wounds on their hands, legs, and other parts of their bodies.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, 5th July 2022, at around 7:15 pm at Aduman in the Afigya Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region.
His father Nurudeen Dawoda who was later informed about his son’s injury, but upon arrival was told his son has already been rushed to the Apagya health center in Apagya of Kwabere South District in Ashanti.
Mr. Nurudeen went there and the hospital letter referred the case to Offinso Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region.
Due to the extent of the injuries, he was also transferred by Offinso Government Hospital to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for emergency treatment.
The cause of the brutalities has not yet been established but section of the students strongly believe it was due to the strike action as there were no teachers available in school to supervise them.
It appears the area hooligans took advantage of the teacher’s strike to take away students belongings.
Authority of the school remains silent on the development despite efforts to engage them.
The police in the Afigya Kwabre have taken up the matter.
