Former musician turned political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng better known as Kwame A-Plus has shared his opinion about the mockery being targeted at the president, Nana Akufo Addo for always sleeping at public functions.
Typical of A-Plus, he espoused a lengthy explanation during an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM to absolve the president because the cumbersome nature of his work means sleeping at events is inevitable.
Kwame A-Plus said, “This issue is very relevant to me, the last time I went to the FlagStaff House I decided to go to his office, when I climbed up I said to him, “Your Excellency, I knew you will be awake at this time”
“The President sleeps at 2 am so stop saying Nana Addo has slept at a conference and so on”,
he notedA Plus further added that in Ghana here if you are a President you have a difficult task unlike in the US where everyone is putting in much effort for better governance.
“If you look at our problems as a nation, even if Donald Trump is here he will sleep as early as 9 pm because there, their structures work, everyone put’s in much effort but here, you need to everything by yourself. He is doing very well, if he doesn’t work hard we people will campaign to vote him out” he said.
