The mother of former President Jerry John Rawlings has been given her final resting place today 24th October 2020.
Madam Victoria Agbotui died on the 24th of September 2020 after a short illness. She died aged 101.
The president Nana Akuffo Addo and vice president Dr. Mahamud Bawumia graced the forecourt of the statehouse to mourn the former President.
Other high profile persons and diplomats were also at the venue to pay their last respect.
Her body was later conveyed to Keta School park for burial service and then to Dzelukope all in the Volta region, for final burial.
