Four(4) students believed to be returning from the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition have been involved in a near-fatal accident.
Starr News reports that the accident occurred at at Osubetor Community on Koforidua to Mamfe road Wednesday at about 1:00pm.
The students made up of three three males and a female from Oti Boateng SHS in Koforidua were onboard a Nissan Versa with registration number GE 6248-19 heading to Koforidua but the car veered off the road and crashed into trees at the roadside.
The cause or the accident is a bit skeptical but the driver was reportedly sleeping.
One of the male students suffered a deep cut on the forehead while others were seen with relatively minor injuries.
The driver escaped physically unhurt. They were rescued and rushed to the hospital by a Police Car heading to Koforidua.
Oti Boateng SHS was eliminated from the National Science and Maths Quiz on September 29,2020.
