Ghanaian hip-hop artiste, Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, known under the stage name Joey B has revealed Ghanaians are far ahead of Nigerians when it comes to Hip-hop.

Joey B was heavily bashed yesterday on social media after he keept mute for a Nigerian radio presenter to disrespect Ghanaian artistes.

A video of Joey and Guilty Beatz in an interview with a Nigerian radio presenter popped up on social media yesterday.

In the said video, both Ghanaians who were present in the studio for an interview could not utter a word in the defence of Ghana’s music industry when the presenter – a Nigerian – decided to pick on Ghana.

Ghanaians like Medikal and other celebs expressed their gross disappointment in Joey and Guilty Beatz for letting that happen.

Well, in an attempt to clear his name, another video of Joey has popped up while he was in the studios of Yang Fm in London for an interview.

In this interview, Joey averred that no Nigerian Hip-Hop artiste can be compared to a Ghanaian.

He revealed Ghanaians are far gone when it comes to the Hip-Hop genre.

He said though the likes of Phyno, M.I, and others are doing amazingly well, they can’t be compared to any artiste in Ghana.
