We Could Not Announce The Artiste & Song Of The Year Awards Because One Belonged To Shatta And The Other Stonebwoy- Kwame Sefa Kayi

It seems things have taken a different turn after the incident at the just ended 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Reports coming in proves that both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy had been arrested and detained by the Ghana Police Force.

General account of what transpired revealed that there was fear and panic at the event grounds as Shatta took to the stage while Stonebwoy was receiving his Dancehall artists of the year award with the latter pulling out a gun on stage.

The host on the night, Kwame Sefa Kayi has explained why two of the biggest categories(Artiste Of The Year & Most Popular song of the year) were not announced.

The ace broadcaster mentioned that one of the awards was for Stonebwoy and the other for Shatta Wale thus they could not have pronounce winners of the categories taking into consideration what happened.

We agree with the organizers of the event on halting the program for sometime and withholding the two categories but what we want to clarify is how Kwame Sefa Kayi got to know that both awards belonged to the two artistes; is it that the award scheme is not transparent as speculated and the organizers know who to run what in a particular category?
