Vote Massively For NPP On December 7 — Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, has called on the electorates not to vote only for President Akufo-Addo but also the party’s parliamentary candidates on December 7, 2020.

According to him, given that his achieved, it would his administration to ensure the smooth administration and passage of laws to improve upon the lives of Ghanaians.

Addressing jubilant supporters in Akyem Oda at the Oda Old town durbar grounds, Dr Bawumia introduced Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah, as the NPP parliamentary candidate for the Oda Constituency, and asked the electorate to vote in favour of him to retain the seat for the NPP.

The NPP stalwarts who accompanied the Vice President included the Senior Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo; the Information Minister, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah; the Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Eric Kwakye Darfour; the Member of Parliament (MP) for Oda, Mr William Agyapong Quaittoo; the Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo, and the Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh.

Speaking at the party’s durbar grounds, the outspoken economist commended the supporters for the massive turn up and implored them to translate their support into votes come December 7 to have the incumbent government retain its power for the next four years, so the NPP continues the provision of quality development projects.

He said unlike the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the NPP government had initiated many social intervention programmes to revamp the national economy so as to create jobs for the unemployed people.

To back his arguments he made mention of the one district one factory, planting for food and jobs, the free Senior High School, restoration of teachers and nurses training allowances and recruitment of more teachers and the Nation Builders Corps initiatives- all of which have been implemented by the New Patriotic Party.

He advised the people of Oda not to vote the New Democratic Congress into power to dissipate the resources accumulated through the hard work of the NPP.

Mr Osafo-Maafo enjoined the electorate to reciprocate the numerous development projects spread across the length and breadth of the country without discrimination on political lines, to retain the NPP in power for the next four years to continue to enjoy more of such quality projects.

The Krontihene of  the Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Obrempong Gyamfi Saforo Kyereh, commended the government for providing numerous development projects for Akyem Kotoku in particular and Ghana in general.
