The parliament of Ghana was in a state of confusion as MPs engaged in a very heated argument over the appeal by the minority to overturn the decision of approving the 2021 budget.
The minority was said to have started the argument after the second deputy chief speaker Honourable Joseph Osei Owusu rejected a motion for the overturn of the 2021 budget that was presented before parliament.
According to the minority the budget had a lot of problems with some of them been the fact that a woman alleged to be a fake Adwoa Sarfo Sat in for her whiles she was aware.
Secondly, they added that the second deputy speaker shouldn’t have voted as an MP if he was acting as the speaker of parliament whiles Algan Bagbin was away.
Honourable Joseph Osei Owusu speaking about the issue revealed that he is also an MP and can vote on issues when the need comes for him to do so.
The words of the deputy speaker caused a very heated argument as the NDC MPs whisked away from the speaker’s seat.
