Video: Miss Ghana Is Not For ‘Ashawo’ Girls – Minister Warns Organizers

Following the scandals and low esteem the Miss Ghana pageant has been plunged into in recent times, the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Barbara Archer Ayisi has cautioned organizers of the pageant to be very careful.

Miss Ghana 2015,  Antoinette Delali Kemavor,  Miss Ghana 2013 Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi and Miss Ghana 2017, Margaret Dery have all described Inna Patty a pimp who hides behind the pageant to pass the vulnerable girls to ‘big men’ to be chopped.

Perhaps the last straw was the recent one which saw the first runner-up of the 2019 edition of the Miss Ghana beauty pageant, Sarah Odei Amoani resigning because she is unhappy with some demands required of her.

On that score, Honorable Ayisi strongly said the purpose of beauty pageants wasn’t to promote promiscuity and asked Inna to be careful of her operations.

Honorable Barbara Ayisi spoke to Zionfelix at the just ended Ghana actors and entertainers award.
