UPDATE: Suspected case of Coronavirus at Korle Bu tests negative

The suspected coronavirus case in Ghana tested negative after a thorough test at the Noguchi Memorial Institute.

Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Badu Sarkodie in an interview with Citi News disclosed that the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research was today, Friday, March 6, 2020, mandated to investigate the case which involved a Ghanaian woman based abroad who returned to the country for a medical procedure.

As reported earlier by Gossips24.com, a lady who arrived in Ghana from New Jersey in the United States was suspected to have been infected with Coronavirus.

The lady is reported to have passed the mandatory checks on the thermal screens at Kotoka International Airport because she was on pain medications.

After checks were ran at the Noguchi Memorial Institute, it turned out that the case isn’t a coronavirus case.
