Ghanaian rapper Tic Tac has threatened to sue Nigerian star, Wizkid over copyright infringements on one of his most popular songs.
You know, Tic Tac is among the few Ghanaians whose songs travelled outside Ghana and became hit songs in Nigeria in the early days when the Ghana music industry was on top.
It appears Wizkid fell in love with one of Tic’s songs but failed to do the right thing by reaching out to the Ghanaian rapper.
According to Tic in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm, Wizkid sampled one of his old songs dubbed ‘Fefe Ne Efe’ which was released 15 years behind.
He averred Wizkid had made use of his chorus on DJ Tunez’s song titled ‘Gbese’.
He, however, added that he contacted the Nigerian artiste’s management and an agreement was reached however, he will proceed to sue them if they don’t pay him what is due.
As a matter of fact, the lawyers are working on it. There have been some discussions… if they don’t pay of course I will sue them. Some figures mentioned but, there are some other things going on
