Three Policemen In Trouble For Stealing From A Notorious Thief

Reports reaching Gossips24.com indicates three policemen in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, have been arrested for stealing from a thief.

According to reports, the Policemen from Manhyia Police Station, ‘B’ District, stole from the said thief during one of their night patrols.

It all happened when one Dr Abeiku Ghansah reported to the police that a thief had broken into his shop the previous night and made away with about 20 phones, an HP Laptop, and cash amounting to Ghc8,000.

The police commenced their investigations on the back of Mr Abeiku’s report which led to the arrest of a key suspect Mr Pius Nosoya Bayor. Mr Bayor, in the course of the investigations admitted to commit the crimes, but had more to say.

He revealed that though he stole the items on the very eve that Mr Abeiku mentioned in his report, he met a police vehicle from Manhyia on his way to a rest point. He mentioned that the three policemen who were on board arrested him and took eight phones and the money which he stole from the victim’s shop.

Further investigations revealed that CPL Prince Owusu and Cpl Timothy Azure, all from Manhyia police station were the culprits. Eight assorted iPhones and Ghc3000.00 were retrieved from them.

The policemen alongside the thief will be arraigned before court in the coming days.
