Thomas Partey surprises pitch invader Awal with money and a jersey

Awal Sulemana, the man who invaded the pitch at during the Black Stars AFCON qualifiers game against South Africa has finally met with his idol Thomas Partey.

Awal Sulemana was arrested and detained by the police and was later charged with unlawful entry in court but was granted bail afterwards after Ghanaians pleaded with the law including the captain of the Black Stars Dede Ayew.

Before the Atletico Madrid midfielder departed from Ghana, he caught up with Awal to have a little interaction with him.

Partey gifted Suleman a signed Black Stars jersey and some undisclosed amount of money.

Meanwhile, the new star has disclosed his passion to play soccer.

He told Asempa FM;

“I am not only a 400 meters runner, but I also play football. I am a midfielder and I play for London Rovers, a second division club here in Cape Coast

“I am a very good athlete and I play football too but you know, after Senior High School if you do not get help to pursue [your dream career] all become waste. Now I am combining football with my nursing job and will like to be a professional footballer,” he added.
