Black Stars and Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey, was adjudged the 2019 Footballer of the Year at the Ghana Football Awards event ceremony.
The awards which came off on Sunday, July 21, 2019 saw Partey reigning supreme over the other nominees.
In a report sighted on Citisportsonline.com, the 26-year-old midfielder helped Atletico Madrid finished second in last season’s Spanish League and was a key part of Ghana’s qualification to the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
Partey also scored in Ghana’s crucial game against Guinea Bissau at the just ended AFCON 2019 which saw the stars qualify to the next round of the competition.
Thomas Partey took the most prestigious award on the eve of the ceremony for his outstanding performance under the year of review.
