‘The sudden death of Castro played a major part in the Sarkodie’s ‘Adonai’ views on YouTube’ – Archipalago

Sarkodie has received tons of applause by fans and industry stakeholders after his music video ‘Adonai’ recorded a 70 million and over views on Youtube.

This outstanding feat is the first to be recorded in the history of Ghana music.

In regard to this, Ghanaian rapper based in the United States Archipalago has attributed the success of Sarkodie’s ‘Adonai’ song on Youtube to the missing Ghanaian Hiplife artiste Castro.

In a series of tweet he made, he pointed out that the disappearance of Takoradi-bred singer Castro caused a lot of controversy which in turn led millions of people to search for him thus the ‘Adonai’ music video which featured him was his last work before going out of reach.

Archipelago added by saying he’s not in any way discrediting Sarkodie but when Castro’s death was captured by foreign media outlets, those who don’t know who he was, watched the music video to know him.

He tweeted: “The sudden death of Castro played a major part in the #Adonai views on YouTube! No disrespect to Bidi tho!”

Don’t me wrong!!! If I’m not mistaken! That video was the last Castro did before his untimely death and it came during that mysterious death. People who dont know him viewed the video just to recognize him and that played a major role in the YouTube views till now #Adonai.”

Ghanaian musician, Theophilus Tagoe popularly called Castro disappeared (drowned) on July 6, 2014, after he and his friends Janet Bandu and Back Stars player Asamoah Gyan went to Ada to have fun and swim.
