The next Nigerian president must come from the south – Southern governors insist

The Southern Governors of Nigeria have communicated to the entire citizenry of Nigeria that the next president of the Republic must come from the south

This information from the governors was made available to the general public after a behind closed doors meeting they held earlier this afternoon.

According to the Southern Governors, there’s a rotational presidency between the North and South and it’s now time for a southerner to lead the country.

The chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, who briefed newsmen after the meeting also revealed that there has been a joint decision from all stakeholders for the next President of the country to come from the south.

This time around, the host governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received his fellow southern governors at Alausa, Ikeja, the venue of their meeting before they proceeded for their closed-door meeting.

Some of the popular governors who attended the event were Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State; Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State; and Edo State deputy governor Philip Shaibu.
