The dancehall artistes who sing afrobeat songs are pulling Ghana backward – Kelvynboy shades Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale

SufferGet Gang boss, Kelvin Brown who is popularly known as Kelvynbwoy has once again taken a swipe at the top musicians in the Ghana dancehall fraternity.

Its no secret that Kelvynboy, for some time now, has been hitting hard at the dancehall musicians in Ghana, especially on how they don’t stay true to the genre.

The ‘MEA’ crooner has made some damming comments while talking about the current songs from artistes in Ghana having the same melody and BPM – Beat Per Minute.

According to the father of two, it’s being long since he heard a real dancehall song in Ghana. He remarked that almost every dancehall musician is now doing Afrobeats music genre and it’ll be good if they can admit it and be identified as such instead of hiding behind the dancehall genre.

“It’s been a long time, Its been a very long time I heard a real dancehall song in Ghana. Be true to yourself. When was the last time you heard a dancehall song in Ghana?”

He then went on to say that all musicians who identify themselves as Dancehall artistes yet do Afrobeats songs all the time are pulling Ghana’s agenda of conquering on the international scene backward.

It’s very obvious that Kelvynboy was talking about Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale while passing those comments.
