Empire stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson have reacted to the recent attack on one of their own and co star in Empire Jussie Smollett.
Empire star Jussie Smollett was attacked by two unknown offenders few days ago for being a gay.
According to the report, the 36 year old actor was walking when the attackers approached him and gained his attention by yelling out racial and homophobic slurs towards him.
Police report says that the attackers poured an unknown chemical substance on Jussie and wrapped a rope around his neck.
Terrence in an interview on good morning America condemned the attack and said that, they learned about the incident whiles they were on set.
He also added that, he knows Jussie is angry and knows very well that he will forgive his attackers.
” I know Jussie, his anger will disappear, he will forgive these people for what they did but he wont, and we can not forget their actions” he said.
“They have to be forgiven because it was done out of ignorance” he added.
Taraji Henson known in empire as Cookie also reacted to the attack on her ‘son’ via her Instagram page.
” I wish what happened to my baby was just one big bad joke but it wasn’t and we all feel his pain right now. @Jussiesmollett is pure love to the bone AND THAT IS WHY SO MANY ARE FEELING HIS PAIN BECAUSE IT IS OUR PAIN!!”, a portion of her Instagram post read.
