Elections 2020: Tema East NDC Supporters Demonstrates Against Arrest Of Parliamentary Candidate

NDC  Tema Newtown supporters have stormed the principal streets of the constituency to express their utmost displeasure against the arrest and detention of Mr Isaac Ashai Odamtten, who is the party’s Tema East parliamentary candidate.

Mr Odamtten was arraigned before a Financial Court in Tema yesterday where he was granted bail for misappropriating of funds during his tenure in office as the Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.

Unfortunately for him, he was unable to meet the bail requirements which influenced his detention in the police cells.

As alleged by these NDC party sympathizers, the incumbent MP and candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Daniel Titus Glover is behind the detention of their comrade reason they took to the streets to spit out red saliva to signal how angry they are as a collective group of people.
