According to Joy News through a Twitter post, a female teacher at Goaso has dipped a hand in boiling water because she owed her two cedis. According to the post, the victim (named Stephanie) is at the hospital receiving treatment and plastic surgeons are working on her.
Taking to Twitter, they wrote:
“The suspect, a female teacher at Goaso held her hands in boiling water for taking her two Ghana Cedis. Management of Mensin Gold Bibiani Mining Limited who have since adopted the girl met the surgical team to find advanced ways of promoting her recovery. #JoyNews“
“Little Stephanie has recently been expressing teary concerns over the state of her hand after a series of surgeries in an attempt to give life to her left hand.”
“Plastic Surgeons working on a nine-year-old girl whose hand was literally boiled by her stepmother are considering getting psychological help for her after spending close to two months on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital.”
