Students of Ashesi University given 10GB of data to help them study at home as they combat corona

CORONAVIRUS – Management of Ashesi University is giving out free internet data to its students for the next two months to aid them to study online since school activities have been suspended.

All universities, both private and public have been asked to shut down for four weeks following the President’s directives during Sunday’s address on how the nation intends to combat the deadly coronavirus.

Due to this both public and private universities as late as Monday asked all of their students to leave campus and head for their homes, this means students will be required to study and follow class sessions through various online platforms.

Well, Ashesi University, a premium and private university located in Ghana, West Africa, has taken a different step by rewarding its students 10gb worth of data each month for the next two months.

In an email signed by Chief Operations Officer, Yasmin Bucknor Keteku, students were asked to fill a form as the internet bundles will be given out by 5pm on Friday, 20th March, 2020.

This, according to madam Yasmin is to help students catch up with online studies while at home.
