The Minority in Parliament on Thursday, February 20, 2020, walked out of Parliament when the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo entered the main chamber to address the legislative arm of Government.

This is the first time in the history of Ghana’s politics that any side has boycotted an address by a sitting president in the history of Parliament.

Dressed in black, the Minority National Democratic Congress, waved placard with the inscription “Free and fair election is not negotiable”.

Others tore papers to litter the floor of parliament just to show their disappointment in the president ahead of his address.

They chanted “bye bye ooo, bye bye ooo”, as they took their exit from parliament.
