Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission of Culture in Ghana; Socrates Sarfo has called out Yvonne Nelson for tagging Ghanian politicians as liars.
Some few days ago, Yvonne Nelson criticized our leaders for being a big disappointment to Ghana and her citizens.
Taken to Twitter to pour out her anger, she tweeted;
As for our LEADERS, biggest disappointment. I had so much faith in them charley! They are all the same! Just doesn’t make sense! The country belongs to special families every 4 years! God have mercy
They are LIARS! Playing with our minds every 4 years! Don’t stress charley! Focus on your life, don’t waste your energy on unnecessary fights and arguments. They need you this year, next year you be borla”.
Opposing these allegations from the actress, Socrates Sarfo has argued that there are exceptions to these accusations from by Yvonne.
According to the filmmaker, leaders of the NPP political party are not liars hence not part of the crop of politicians Yvonne is inciting Ghanaians to boycott come 7th December’s general elections.
Speaking on Peace FM with reference to Yvonne Nelson’s comments, he said;
…somebody goes to the hospital and a doctor prescribes medication for the person but he or she is not able to recover. Would you say doctors are liars?”.
“There are promises, expectations and all that in every job but due to one or two things, it is possible some will fail . . . Let’s encourage people to hold politicians rather to account to whatever they say but when you discouraged people, everybody will shy away from politics. I think it’s not helpful to do that. Let’s encourage people to hold politicians accountable to whatever they promise or whatever they say but don’t just tag them as liars…
Meanwhile, this same Socrates Sarfo cried like a baby in the studios of Peace FM last month.
Accusing the NPP of abandoning him after he campaigned for them to win 2016 elections.
He even contended that Nana Addo has disappointed Ghanaians bigtime because he hasn’t been able to achieve a quarter of his campaign promises.
