Shatta Wale shares his opinion on the reason for high divorce rates in Ghana

Multiple Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has shared his opinion on the reason behind the recent spike in divorce cases in the country which has now become a national topic and worry.

Speaking to Giovani Caleb on Showbiz 360 at TV3, Shatta Wale opined that men now restrict their wives to only wifely duties instead of allowing them to live their lives as it should be.

He further argued that most women hate being restricted (caged) so they walk out of the marriage to he happy and live their lives as they want.

He said;

” If you met a lady who loves hanging out with her friends at parties and all that, you shouldn’t stop her from doing that all in the name of Marriage. You shouldn’t make her cook, clean and do all the house chores alone. She’ll end up looking old and tired and soon she’ll become bored and dump you. Women like freedom but that’s what most men don’t know. If you give your woman a lot of freedom, she’ll always remain with you and be faithful to you

Speaking about his son, Majesty, Shatta Wale emphasized that he wants his son to be led by God to do whatever he wants.

My son is is great kid and I won’t choose a career path for him. I want God to lead him and help him grow to become a responsible person in Ghana.
