After rebranding from Bandana to Shatta Wale and returning from his hiatus, Charles Nii Armah Mensah brought some energy and attention to the Ghanaian music scene. He started by beefing his own colleagues with some media men for some awards schemes.
In a new interview, his colleague, Michael Owusu Addo, better known as Sarkodie, has lauded the self-acclaimed dancehall king for bringing some sort of energy and attention to the music industry.
Sarkodie’s comment came when he was asked in the interview to choose between Shatta Wale and Kuami Eugene, and in the process of choosing Shatta Wale over Kuami Eugene, he said all these things about him.
Sarkodie said:
“Shatta Wale is someone who brought energy to the music industry. He talks on his phone with you today and goes on the radio to say, F Sark. Sometimes you don’t understand, but he brought energy and attention to the industry”.
