Nigerian lawyer Reno Omokri has taken a swipe at online beggars who keep bugging him and other celebrities for giveaways.
The former of Goodluck Jonathan took to social media to explain the difference between the poor and middle class.
He stated that people with regular data are not poor but middle class citizens. He also revealed that those who give to them don’t know what poverty means.
He tweeted; “Scripture says give to the poor. It does not say give to those with smartphones and regular data. If you think those are the poor, then you don’t know what poverty means. You are giving to the middle class (and there is nothing wrong with that)”.
