Sarkodie details how he refused to release a song he had already recorded because of Shatta Wale
Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has revealed how he had to drop an already recorded song because of Shatta Wale.
Hold on! This has nothing to do with their beef, but it has a lot to do with the debate on who copied who – in terms of beats.
Well, sometimes beat producers make beats and send to artists to listen and see if they can work on those beats – and that is what happened with Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.
According to Sarkodie in a tweet sighted by Gossips24.com, there was one song that led to the release of Hello which comes off the Black Love album that was dropped because of Shatta Wale.
Sark explained in a tweet that he recorded two songs with Kidi prior to the making of Black Love with beats given to him by MOG.
However, one song which was supposed to be released as a banger was cleared because Shatta had used the same beat for a song he released earlier than his.
He deemed it appropriate to let that particular song go and kept Hello with Kidi on the Black Love album.
He wrote; “Track 5 hello : So I had both Kuami Eugene and Kidi at the crib and we recorded I think 3 songs ( No more, honey ) and one song I dropped off the album ft both of them ( wicked song ) SarkNation don’t kill me lol … so I had just me and Eugene but didn’t have with Kidi”
He continued; “So I called Kidi back again to see if we could find one for just us… and we made two beautiful songs but we heard one of the records on radio ( one of Shatta Wales songs ) my fault I didn’t tell MOG ( I always don’t lol ) so we dropped that and kept Hello”.

Clearly, Shatta did not steal the beat or the song, but MOG is a beat producer. He did the beat for Sark & Sark didn’t record on time, so MOG sent the beat to Shatta wale & Wale recorded it. Also, MOG didn’t tell Wale that he has given the beat to Sark. Sark too didn’t tell MOG he had recorded a song with the beat.
