Inkoom is expected to start the 2020 season with a team that plays in the Erovnuli Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian football.

The defender shared photos of his signing and medical tests on social media to announce the good news to his followers and loved ones.

He said; “new challenge ✊🏾‬
‪happy to start the season of 2020 with FC Samtredia (Georgia 🇬🇪) ‬
‪new family, new goals 😍‬
‪let’s start! 💪🏾 “

Inkoom was banned in 2019 by Fifa after allegations by prophet Mensah Otabil suggested the Black Stars defender was dwelling on juju for success.

Though the juju allegations were not among the reasons for Inkoom’s ban, most of his career-related problems kicked off not long after the allegations from Mensah Otabil went public in 2016.

Inkoom has not enjoyed his career from 2016 to January 2019 when Fifa lifted his worldwide ban.

The right-back was banned from taking part in any football-related activity over a settlement dispute with his former agent Curtis Willer from a transfer back in 2014.

Inkoom, 30, was ordered to pay the World In Motion boss or serve a one-year ban in default, an amount the former FC Basel star failed to raise. Fifa further extended the sanction in May 2018 only to lift it in 2019.

It’s great to finally have him back on the field of play.
