President Akufo-Addo declares national day of fasting and prayers for all Ghanaians to combat coronavirus

The president of Ghana, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo has declared Wednesday, March 25, 2020, as a day for National Fasting and Prayers.

According to the president of Ghana in his address to the nation on Saturday, March 21, 2020, this is the time for the country to pray and seek the mercy of God.

The president said the decision, he believes, will save Ghana from the potential surge in confirmed cases and also help combat the deadly virus.

Already, the president together with some Christian leaders interceded on behalf of the nation on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

However, come Wednesday, 25th March 2020, the entire nation will fast and pray for safety and recovery from the pandemic.
