Poor family of 17-year-old girl who defied lockdown orders to visit her boyfriend finally speak (video)

The family of a 17-year-old lady who was arrested for defying lockdown orders at Abeka-Lapaz a suburb in Accra have finally spoken to UTV on their living conditions.

Yesterday, Gossips24.com reported on a sad incident that took place at Abeka involving a 17-year-old who left Odorkor Tipper and defied lockdown orders to visit her boyfriend.

She told reporters of UTV that she lives dilapidated wooden kiosk with her parents which makes her uncomfortable so she wanted to spend the rest of the lockdown period with her boyfriend at Madina where she was headed to before she was busted.

UTV followed the issue to the young girl’s family where they had a conversation with both parents of the young lady. Her father explained that the girl in question has refused to go back to school, and has refused to learn any handiwork.

Her mum also lamented on their living conditions saying her daughter does not respect her because they are poor. She told UTV that Maa Akua, who was nabbed by the police has 6 other siblings and they all live in the Kiosk.
