Today, it was reported that Akufo Addo and his government have approached the IMF for assistance, just as they had done to John Mahama and his government during their tenure.
President Akufo-Addo said in a statement that he had given the go-ahead for Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to begin official negotiations with the IMF, urging the Fund to assist an economic plan developed by the government of Ghana.
Many have reacted as many pulled out former posts and comments of the ruling government bashing the NDC for running to the IMF for aid.
Nana Aba Anamoah has responded to the situation by saying politicians can manage the economy well when they are in opposition.
