Policemen clash with civilians who were seen buying prepaid amid lockdown (video)

Some civilians have clashed with policemen who have been dispatched across the Greater Accra region and Kumasi amid the partial lockdown in the aforementioned areas.

Whiles some civilians are staying at their various homes in compliance with the lockdown. Others have decided to go about their daily routines even to the extent of flouting the social distancing rule.

In a video sighted by Gossips24.com, Police officers are seen holding canes in an attempt to lash some civilians who had formed long queues to top up their prepaid cards for electricity.

According to the angry civilians, one of the police officers from nowhere just came around and began lashing them without asking them why they were out.

From the video, one of the police officers could be heard saying out of anger that they will beat them for free without anyone doing them anything.

Another told a loudmouth lady in the queue that “Aba b3ka wakyi“, to wit, “I will lash you“.
