Policeman at Jubilee House arrested for scamming people

A policeman at the Jubilee House (Presidency) has been arrested for engaging in police recruitment scam.

Identified as Isaac Oppong was reported to have taken various sums of money from prospective police recruits ranging from GHS3,500 and GHS7,000 under the guise of getting them enlisted.

Report says he is currently in the custody of the Cantoments Police.

Police investigators who received complaints from some of the victims about the nefarious activities of Inspector Isaac Oppong proceeded to the Police Hospital and identified nine (9) victims and also arrested the culprit.

The victims during interrogation confirmed having paid various sums of money ranging between GHS3, 500 and GHS7000 to the police inspector for recruitment.
