Police Arrest 11 Aboboyaa Riders On The Motorway-Photos

The Ghana police service has together in a joint operation with the task force has been said to have arrested 11 aboboyaa riders who were plying the motorway.

According to reports, the Aboboyaa drivers on the motorway were flouting new regulations that were made by the Greater Accra Regional Minister Mr. Henry Qyuartey.

Mr Henry Qyuartey had on August 7, 2021, issued a directive that seeks to keep all the tricycle riders from using all the highways in the country at the launch of the Operation Clean Your Frontage in Accra last Friday.

According to the minister, the new law was supposed to start taking effect on November 1 which led to the police along with the joint task force arresting 11 Aboboyaa on the motorway, towing their tricycles to the Police Station.
