Parliament need serious people, Obour can’t be there – Rex Omar

Veteran Ghanaian highlife artist, Rex Omar has savagely shaded former MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known Obour.

Obour lost the bid to become the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akim South constituency.

He lost to the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) Kwaku Asante-Boateng. While Obour had 296 votes, Mr. Asante-Boateng polled 360 votes.

Reacting to the result, Rex Omar, chairman for the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) posted on his Twitter “We needed serious people in Parliament and Obour wanted to be there. Good job by the delegates for rejecting him”.
