Our music will blow without Tiktokers – Epixode

Dancehall musician, Epixode has said that it is disrespectful for TikTokers to believe that music cannot spread without them.

Despite TikTok having a significant impact on music marketing, Epixode claims that it is not the primary factor.

He said on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, “I think it’s quite disrespectful for TikTokers to ever assume that if you don’t offer your songs to them, it won’t blow; for me, it’s very disrespectful.”

Despite the fact that TikTok is currently one of the main promotional tools that when used, it’s quite effective, he continued, “There are so many things that make a song blow.

Epixode’s statement follow a massive argument on the impact Tiktok has on the future of music.

Asantewaa, a TikTok influencer, recently came under attack for saying on live television that music won’t “blow” without them.

Asantewaa said on UTV, “It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the music business; when you release the song it is no longer about the craft until the song is being handed to us, else you’ll have to jam to the song yourself.
