Ophelia Hayford, wife of late Mfantseman NPP murdered MP chosen to replace her husband

The wife of murdered MP Ekow Hayford, Ophelia Hayford, has been selected by the NPP political party to replace her late husband for the 2020 Parliamentary elections.

The choice of choosing Mrs Ophelia Hayford was revealed during a party meeting which held earlier today, October 13th 2020 at the party’s national office.

Mrs Ophelia Hayford is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and has now tended in her resignation to fully concentrate on her newly found political path.

Ekow Quansah Hayford, the NPP MP for Mfantseman Constituency, was murdered in cold blood last week after been shot to death by yet unidentified armed robbers.

With the 2020 general elections just some few weeks away, the NPP has settled on the widow as his replacement.

This follows a similar move taken by the NPP after Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency late Emmanuel Agyarko passed away where his wife Lydia Alhsasan was named as his replacement.

Lydia won the seat and it appears the NPP sees using widows as a winning strategy otherwise why would they repeat it again?
