Omah Lay and Tems charged to court (Full Details)

Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems have been charged to court in Uganda for breaching a rule.

As reported earlier by Gossips24, Omah Lay was arrested by Katwe Police in Uganda along side the Managerof the venue identified as  Dungu Ivanand the events manager Prim Kasanaare also in custody. 

The popular singer is accused of performing in a large congregation which is the against the COVID-19 guideline in Uganda.

His arrest was confirmed by the assistant Superintendent of police.

The singer also took to Twitter to confirm his arrest and explained that it was due to something that happened at the show.

In a recent tweet by the Uganda police revealed the singers were charged to court on charges of negligently doing acts likely to spread and infectious diseases.

The Nigerian trio of Stanley Omah Didia alias Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi alias Tems and Muyiwa Awomiyi have been charged to court in Makindye on charges of Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases C/S 171 of the Penal Code Act. The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP. They were jointly charged with four other Ugandans. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020.” the tweet reads.
