Ace Ghanaian rapper, Okyame Kwame – Has added his two cents to the ongoing #FreeAkuapempoloo hashtag that has taken over the local digital space after news went rife that the mother of one has convicted by the Accra Circuit Court.
According to the rap doctor, Rosemond Brown Akuapem Poloo should be spared because she is a single mother who has been working hard to fend for her son therefore, the court should reconsider its decision of throwing her into jail.
In a post he shared on the bird app, Okyeame called on all the various stakeholders to look into Akuapem Poloo’s case once again because her conviction is harsh because posing in front of one’s own child is just a petty issue.
He wrote:
I will like to plead for Akuapem Poloo and ask our leaders to please consider the fact that she’s a single mother. I think she’s been traumatized enough. The law is the law.. but can we be kind?
Contrasting with the notion that mercy should be tempered with justice concerning Akuapem Poloo’s final verdict.
Many social media users have also argued that the law must ruthlessly deal with her to serve as a lesson to the other mothers who have intentions of also posing naked in front of their children.
