#EndSARS: Nigeria’s Vice President promises to restore peace as he hints on securing justice for the victims of Lekki Tollgate shootings

After remaining silent on the ongoing turmoil in Nigeria since its genesis, Nigeria’s Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo has promised justice for the victims who were shot to death and injured during last Tuesday’s unforgettable mow down by the country’s military officers with AK 47 rifles at the Lekki tollgate.

According to checks and investigations carried out by Amnesty International, it has been confirmed that  12 people were killed by soldiers and police in two locations in the city, although Nigeria’s army clipped the reports as “fake news”.

Meanwhile circulating videos on the internet clearly shows that men in military camouflage shot at these peaceful protesters.

Addressing this issue, the vide President has released a press statement which a section reads;

“The pain of these terrible events is palpable in our towns and cities, and some losses are irreplaceable, but we can and will get justice for all of them,”

This followed after global stars and political activists called the Nigerian government out for their unaccepted quietness and insolence at the helm of affairs
