Grass of Heaven! Nigeria’s sports minister requests for 81 million naira to weed Abuja’s stadium grass

No one will really understand the African type of politics until they understand that African leaders are not trying to solve Africa’s problems but trying to solve their own problems which are; to be be elected, re-elected and steal from the national coffers.

Why on earth will a sane person demand such a gargantuan amount just to weed the grass in a stadium for Christ sake?.

Till we start chopping off the heads of leaders like this, Africa as a continent should forget about the fight against corruption.

 Mr. Sunday Dare who is Nigeria’s sports minster made this stupid revelation during a seminar organized by the country’s sports Writers Association.

He added that, the ministry is seeking to partner a private firm due to lack of fund from the government

We approach AEPB to see what can be done to clear the grass, they told us It would cost N81 million. If we tell Nigerians we use that amount of money, there will be an outcry in the country. The funds are not there for us, that is why we are partnering with private investors to get the job done

81 million dollars is equivalent to $212,802.55!
