Nigerian Billionaire And Philanthropist Idahosa Okunbo Dies At 63

Nigerian billionaire, philanthropist, and business mogul, Captain Idahosa Okunbo has died at 63.

It is reported that the Edo State-born politician, died in the early hours of Sunday, August 8, after a protracted battle with cancer in London, United Kingdom.

It was gathered that he was diagnosed with cancer in September 2020.

Captain Idahosa Okunbo was the chairman of Ocean Marine Service Limited.

On social media, Nigerians are mourning such a great person of the country.

Capt. Okunbo attended Government Primary in Benin, Edo State, formerly called Old Bendel State for his primary education.

He went on to Federal Government College in Warri and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Centre in Zaria, Kaduna State, where he learned to become a professional commercial pilot at the age of 21.

In 1983, he also graduated from the ACME School of Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, with an Airline Transport Pilot License.

He worked for two years as a flight captain for Intercontinental Airlines and three years for Okada Airlines.
